Biography, an unpublished biography of Mr. Joseph Wearne of Sydney (1832-1884) a Methodist who was active in the goldfields of Ballarat in 1852, organising church services and Bible classes. Made Superintentent of the Sunday School at Liverpool in 1853 and many other similar Sunday Schools over the next few years. He established his own business of milling flour and elected to parliament for West Sydney in 1872. An interesting and moving account of the life of a man in the 19th century, together with but unrelated letters to Rev. Firth. (1888), another in 1917 (in French); share scrip (2) from John McMaster Limited 1929 for 50 shares each; bill and receipt for funeral expenses 1907; Birth certificate 1865 as extracted 1890; Insurance policies for house and motel (2). Lettering around base of flame protector reads, XVI Olympiad - 1956; Olympia - Melbourne, Olympic rings voided around wind protector (overall height 47.5cms), together with photographs (17) of runners during trial run. Good very fine and rare.
