Tooth and Company, Architects' Certificate No.171 from Sidney Warden April 19th 1922, for 'Messrs Tooth & Co Ltd,' certifying paymernt of 'one thousand pounds' for alterations at the Hotel Victoria in Surry Hills, signed S. Warden; and a cheque from Tooth & Co. Ltd, Kent Brewery No.11927 dated 20th April 1922 drawn on the Bank of N.S.W. Southern Branch for one thousand pounds in payment for the above. Fine and rare. (2)

This and the next four lots relate to the building or renovating of Tooth & Co Limited/ Kent Brewery Hotels in the 1920's in and around Sydney and New South Wales. People relating to this company at this time are: F.L. Patridge: The executive officer with with Tooth & Co for 35 years, first as Secretary and then as Manager. He resigned in 1924 and died in August 1927. J.R.Palfreyman: Served as secretary at Tooth & Co. died in 1929. S. Penton: A secretary at Tooth & Co. W.J. Cleary: Succeeded F.L. Partridge as General Manager, resigned in 1929. The group are unusual and are attractive, ideal for display.
