Australia, a United Country Party election note or 'funny money', One Lang, Stavation Debenture, a curious note issued for propaganda purposes in NSW politics c.1930, states 'Starvation Debenture, The Wastepaper Commisar of the Soviet Slave State promises to Repudiate to the Bearer - His Promise to pay £21,000,000 (which he has not got) on Payment of the Usual 5% Commission. Contracted Outside the Moratorium'; the back carries a pawnticket policy of waste paper rations for starving people. Fine and most interesting.

Title from ten pound note, two portraits of George V, George VI, Elizabeth II below, two portraits of George VI below left with signatures of Coombs/Wilson and Riddle/Sheehan from one pound notes. Map of Australia on reverse, serial R/1 000001 (120x72mm). A fascinating political decimal changeover item and probably unique, fine.
