Australia, a United Country Party election note or 'funny money', One Lang, Stavation Debenture, a curious note issued for propaganda purposes in NSW politics c.1930, states 'Starvation Debenture, The Wastepaper Commisar of the Soviet Slave State promises to Repudiate to the Bearer - His Promise to pay £21,000,000 (which he has not got) on Payment of the Usual 5% Commission. Contracted Outside the Moratorium'; the back carries a pawnticket policy of waste paper rations for starving people. Fine and most interesting.
