Cricketing Challenge Cup, a presentation cup (271 mm high) in sterling silver engraved on a shield 'Presented to C.H. Brooks Vice President', and on another shield opposite 'Adelaide & Suburban Cricketing Association Challenge Cup Season 1879-1880 Won By The East Adelaide', surmounted by a cricketer with bat attached to a lid with extensive and ornate engravings as scrolls, plants etc. both on the lid and on the body of the cup, stamped and hallmarked on lid and near rim of cup, H. Steiner (of Adelaide) together with crown, Queen Victoria's head and lion. Heavily toned, otherwise as originally made, with gilt interior.
