Powell Acct., printed on uncertain watermarked paper, with imprint on lower left, 'Bradbury Wilkinson Co, Engravers & c. London', with vignettes of female with children in centre, and in oval top left the bank seal, and top right 1 over POUND, with CANCELLED perforated across the note, centre block in green for ONE POUND, green and black on white, (Vort-Ronald, p.52-56 on bank, type 2a, cf. Fig.52). Folds and creases, a few crease holes, with heavy aging tone, otherwise nearly fine, very rare and one of the earliest known notes of this bank.

Sabine, on paper, probably watermarked but uncertain type, imprint of 'Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co Ld Engravers, London', vignette in centre of woman facing wearing wreath, and ornamental shield tablets with '1' in top corners, and 'ONE' in block lower corners, all within rectangular ornate border, states below, 'I Promise to pay the Bearer on Demand at our Office here the Sum of One Pound Sterling Value received, Adelaide 1st March 1907, for The Bank of Adelaide', 'ONE' in yellow across note, back with bank building in centre, '1' in corners, legend above and below 'THE BANK OF ADELAIDE' and 'ONE POUND', yellow and black on white/blue brown and green on white, (Vort-Ronald, Type three, comments on bank and type p.52-56, similar issued note with 'Cancelled' perforations, illustrated Fig. 53 [p.56]). A few folds and creases, with stain on left margin, otherwise nearly very fine and very rare, being one of the best of the few surviving banknotes.

Strafford, printed on unwatermarked paper, with trace of imprint on centre of bottom frame, appears to be 'Perkins & Heath, London', vignette of three women top centre, a sheep, top left and a One in wreath top right all within rectangular spiral border, on back in black ink, two signatures, black on white, (Vort-Ronald Type Two, p.65 This Note described; Nicholson p.4, This Note illustrated). Bank of New South Wales, one pound, issued at Sydney, June 1, 1905, (date printed), No.A 206839, hand signed by uncertain manager and accountant, printed on watermarked paper 'BANK OF NEW SOUTH WALES' within saw-toothed multiple line frame, with imprint in centre of bottom, 'Charles Skipper & East, London', with vignettes of female seated with produce and in top corners oval framed tablet with ONE, all within rectangular ornate spiral border with words BANK OF NEW SOUTH WALES at top and bottom, back with large ONE within rectangular frame surrounded by a ornate circles in each corner, black on white/red on white, (Vort-Ronald, p.67-85 on bank, Type Seven (g) and a similar note illustrated as Fig.87). Folds and creases, some rust on back and front, otherwise nearly very fine and rare.
