London', vignette of standing female with crook, this above Australian arms, in frame, green 'ONE' on background of five interlocking circles, 'Ã…â€Å‣ ONE' in oval geometric frame top right and lower left of note, back with Queen Victoria head left in geometric circles, 1 in ovals either side. Heavy folds, stains and creases, tears and frayed edges, with unobtrusive holes mostly around the watermark and on the folds, heavy aging tone, otherwise good, and very rare.

The Queensland National Bank Limited, one pound, issued at Aramac, February 26 1881, (188 printed), No. A 11 hand signed by Francis Batlow, printed on watermarked paper of uncertain type, with imprint to centre at bottom, 'Watson Ferguson & Co. Engravers Brisb[ane]', in top corners oval framed tablet with ONE, all within rectangular geometric ornate border, impressed Queensland stamp duty one penny, stamp in centre, stamped PAID and crossed for Thoms Lynch Bank, ink signature on back, black on white, (Vort-Ronald, p.189-191 on bank; This Note, published and illustrated, by A. Nicholson, ACCR August 1983 p.31). Two folds minor creases and small tears, otherwise very fine and excessively rare if not unique.
