The Oriental Bank Corporation, one pound, issued at Melbourne, July 1 1881, (date printed), No. 998643 hand signed by Manager Geo C. Dobbquy and entered by J. Hal Sheppard, printed on watermarked paper of uncertain type, with imprint to left at bottom, 'Perkins, Bacon & Co. London', with vignettes of scene with train and in top corners oval framed tablet with Ã…â€Å‣1, all within rectangular ornate border, back with five large circles intertwined, black on white, (Vort-Ronald, type [c], p.189-191 on bank, and similar note illustrated as Fig.200). Many folds and creases, age tone, somewhat dirty, otherwise nearly fine and very rare.
