The Queensland National Bank Limited, Brisbane, one pound, dated 1 January 1889 (date printed), numbered No.C110749, on paper, signatures for W.E.Goldwyn manager and H.L.Pene accountant, watermarked but uncertain type, imprint of 'Perkins Bacon & Co. London', vignette of standing female with crook, this above Australian arms, in frame, green 'ONE' on background of five interlocking circles, 'Ã…â€Å‣ ONE' in oval geometric frame top right and lower left of note, back with Queen Victoria head left in geometric circles, 1 in ovals either side, green and black on white/ blue on white, (Vort-Ronald, Type one (c), Fig.214 & 215, [p.206-7] a similar note, further comments p.204-7, also Tomlinson p.86-7 and illustration p.87). Rust spots and holes near edge, creases and folds, minor paper toning, otherwise fine and very rare.

This bank was founded in 1872 and merged with the National Bank of Australasia in 1948.
