Queensland Government, Brisbane, one pound, dated 2 July 1906, (date fully printed), numbered D/1 927801, printed signature of Under Secretary Treasury W.L. Fowles, and countersigned by uncertain ink signature, on paper, imprint of 'Perkins Bacon & Co. Ld. London', vignette in black on upper left of State arms, and black ornamental oval tablet with 'Ã…â€Å‣ ONE' lower left and upper right, green colour underprint, 'QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT' in two lines, 'ONE' in large letters across note, states below in black, 'I Promise to pay the Bearer on Demand One Pound Sterling, Brisbane 2nd July 1906, For the Queensland Government', on back head of Queen Victoria in geometrical pattern, '1' in oval each side, black on green on white/blue on white, (Vort-Ronald, Type two, comments on bank and type p.199-203, Similar note described p.203, and similar issued note illustrated Fig. 211 [p.202]). Many folds and creases, otherwise nearly very fine and very rare.
