Gulf of Carpentaria, Normanton, five pounds, No.A 411, issued by Burns, Philp, imprint of Charles Troedel & Co. Sydney and Melbourne, impressed oval Queensland one penny duty stamp, signed James Burns, per James Forsyth, undated, issued circa 1880, only a small number of notes issued. Very rare only a few issued notes known of all denominations. Several heavy folds and two small central holes otherwise very good - fine and unique.

The Equitable Building Society, Brisbane, Queensland, advertising share issue and prize distribution proposal form in the design of an Australian pre Federation one pound note, 'Monster Freehold Property Distribution - A Good Pound's Worth of Queensland Properties', List closes Nov. 30th. (1893), application to Messrs. Pierce & Co., 126 Pitt Street, Sydney, N.S.W., in the centre is a vignette of the first prize, namely the building occupied by the Queensland Deposit Bank, printed by John Scott & Co. Sydney. Folds and tears and pencil writing on reverse, otherwise good and rare.

Ten shillings, Collins/Allen (1913) M000054/55 (R.1b), a presentation consecutive note pair, with presentation letter, Melbourne, 5 July 1913, to W.N.Hedges 'Dunboe', Sackville Street, Kew East, signed by the Secretary to the Treasury, Geo.T.Allen. Two rounded corners, a repaired tear spot top margin at left, two pin holes on the first note, otherwise nearly extremely fine, the second note a full note with printer's guide lines in all four corners of the front, extremely fine or better and extremely rare in this condition, one of the finest known, both very rare and unique as a consecutive pair with letter.
