For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during the advance south of BRAY on 26th Aug. 1918. Sgt WEBB was in charge of the gun limbers of his company. Throughjout the frequent moves forward he rendered invaluable assistance in maintaining a supply of S.A.A. and rations to the gun positions under intense machine gun and shell fire. His utter disregard of personal danger acted as a stimulus to all who witnessed him. MM (second award.) L.G. 23 Jul 19. From 25th February to 16th September 1918 Sgt. WEBB as transport Sergeant of his Company has by his great devotion to duty rendered valuable service.
