The Colonel John Thomson Medal, undated (first awarded 1997), in burnished pewter (60mm), obverse, three quarters facing bust of Dr Thomson in the uniform of the Principal Medical Officer of the Queensland Defence Force at the time of Australia's Federation in 1901, reverse, badge of the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps within a wreath and with a plaque at bottom pantographed, 'Maj M.D.Cobcroft, OAM, RFD/Foundation Donor'; another identical medal, reverse plaque pantographed, 'Maj. Cobcroft/07-12-04'. The first with rim marks at four points where it has been in a stand, otherwise uncirculated and both in felt sachets of issue. (2)

Centenary of the BMA - AMA in Queensland, 1894-1994, in oxidised silvered (oval 55.5x77.5mm), designed by P.D. (Peter Dornan of Brisbane), obverse, Hygieia, daughter of the god of medicine Asclepius standing right with a snake twined around her left arm and with a botanical bouquet, symbolising the 'plant of immortality', in front of her, reverse, Asclepius symbol of a rod with snake twined around it and below this is a black enamelled plaque inscribed, 'Presented to/Dr Mervyn Cobcroft/From AMAQ'; another identical in oxidised bronze and unnamed in the plaque area; also the sculptor's uniface trial piece in lead of the obverse design.
