King of Persia in chariot with driver, Egyptian attendant or the king of Sidon behind, all within cable circle border, above date = year 16, (cf.S.5934, cf.Bet 16 [ANSMN 21], cf.BMC 19 [p.143], cf.SNG Fitz 6046, cf.Betylon 18 [p.9, Pl.2, 4]). Very fine and rare, the type unpublished.

Indo-Scythian, Azes, (58 - 20/19 B.C., Senior chronology), Azes II (c.35 B.C. - A.D.5, Mitchiner chronology), silver drachms of various types as part of a large hoard containing a wide range of letters and symbols in field. The hoard is almost all of the Zeus Nikephoros group, (noted however a drachm of Hermaios [cf.M.2020]) and this group was struck towards the end of Azes reign, The bulk of the types are represented on Senior's part III 'Easy Finder' (p.27-28), but earlier examples are present. Almost all have porosity from poor conservation but are identifiable, poor - nearly very fine. (780)
