Mogul, Shah Jahan I, (A.H. 1037-1068, A.D.1628-1658), round silver rupee, struck in Surat mint, issued A.H. 1038 (A.D. 1628-9), Regnal Year 2, Surat mint signature, obv. around dots within circles, Kalima, AH Year and mint signature, rev. Persian legend and Regnal year, (cf.Mitchiner 3211, KM.223.13). Full bold strike about as struck, extremely fine, the year 2 unlisted in KM.
