Weavell, John., Hobart Town, currency note one shilling (Payable in Dollars at 5s each) August 13 1823 (year 1823 printed) No.AKO, hand signed by John Weavell on printed form black on white, unwatermarked paper (type 1). Extremely rare first type with signature in full (John Weavell) all other types are signed Weavell. Different layout to the wording and print design, also 'Payable in Dollars at 5s each'. Folds, creases, tears and stains, note is with new backing, otherwise very good.

Some pieces missing and tears around edges, some pin-holes, otherwise nearly fine and rare.
