Australian Wool Company, Sydney, one pound (payable at The Royal Bank of Australia, Sydney), not dated except 184-, printer's proof, on 'AUSTRALIAN WOOL COMPANY', imprint on the lower margin 'W.H. Bruce, Engraver and Printer Trump Street Cheapside' (Vort-Ronald p.208-9, details of bank, but Australian Wool Company not known, this note illustrated in Vort-Ronald Shinplaters p16). Much paper toning, one large hole, and other small holes, otherwise nearly fine and excessively rare, being the only known specimen.

WATKINS, ENG. NEW YORK', with vignette of Chinese couple and store with various labels, ONE in oval tablet around legend 'The best price for returning gold diggers implements, General Stores for tents, picks and cradles', retangular tablet lower left stating below it 'JR Importer and Dealer in Revolvers, Guns, Tea, Sugar Etc.' on front of note, 'Promise to pay the Bearer on Demand the Sum of ONE POUND Sterling for value in Gold Dust, For the Melborne Bank', also with two large rectangular CANCELLED stamps, black on white, (this note illustrated Vort Ronald..Miscellaneous..p.23). Missing corner replaced by hand drawn corner as added to the note, many folds and creases, with unobtrusive pinholes from folds, heavy aging tone, otherwise very good, extremely rare and probably unique.

The Producer's Bank, one pound, Sydney, 1 January 1861, (18 printed), No. 7444, hand signed and entered by uncertain signatures, printed on watermarked paper THE PRODUCERS BANK, ONE POUND, SYDNEY in three lines, imprint below on frame, 'Nissen & Parker, London', within rectangular border, vignettes of Circular Quay, Sydney in centre and smaller vignettes in upper corners of stock on farm and plowing scene, black on white, (Vort-Ronald, p.193 and Fig.202 for similar note and that note also illustrated in Tomlinson p.83, this note noted by Vort Ronald, Australian Private Banknote Pedigrees p.216). Heavy folds, stains and creases, tears and frayed edges, with unobtrusive holes mostly around the watermark and on the folds, heavy aging tone, otherwise good, and very rare.
