Attractive grey toning, compact flan, good very fine and a rare date.

Baal seated left, holding sceptre, rev. spear-head to left above, with lion walking left on ground line, **S* in exergue. (cf.S.6140, Nicolet-Pierre pages in Travaux Le Rider cf.MIG type 7b; Babelon, Perses -; cf.BMC Arabia 4-5 [Pl.XX 17, XXI 1]; Trait‚ -; SNG Copenhagen -). Nice very fine with partial flat strike and off centred reverse, type unpublished with this combination.

Uneven tone, very high obverse relief, heavy pitting in obverse field and lesser so on reverse, otherwise good very fine and rare.

Bactria, Kingdom of, Eucratides I, (170-145 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.966 grams), obv. pith helmeted head of Eucratides to right with dotted border ornamented with bull's horn and ear, rev. the Dioskouroi on horseback prancing to right, each holding spear and palm, to right a monogram of **DFI*, in exergue **EUKRATIDOU*, around above **BASILEWS MEGALOU, (cf.S.7570. Mitchiner 1.177ee, Bopearachchi Series 6ee, SNG ANS 465). As struck, good extremely fine in very high relief, with light golden brilliance, very rare in this condition.
