Japanese Midget Submarine, a piece of black bakelite with attached label, "A Guaranteed Souvenir / from the / Japanese Midget Submarine / Sunk in Sydney Harbour / Sunday, May 31st, 1942", dated July 30, 1942, proceeds to R.A.N.Relief Fund & King George's Fund for sailors; three souvenir postcards relating to the same event all dated 30th July 1942, Serial No.2, "Complete Japanese midget submarine", another from Serial No.2, "Torpedo tubes of Japanese midget submarine with caps in position", and Serial No.7, "Centre section of Japanese midget submarine". A few spots on front of first postcard and some rust spots on the label otherwise very fine. (4)

Zulu assegais (3), with a small Zulu shield brought from Natal, c.1906 by William Hutchinson. The assagais were cut in half to fit into the luggage before boarding the 'S.S.Africa' for the journey to Australia. Very good - fine. (4 items)

Menu for Farewell Dinner, to the Officers and Sisters at Sea, 9th March, 1918 with numerous autographs including several Light Horse and medical and nursing members; postcard featuring King George V and individual photos of Royal Family members; postcard to Cadet S.H.Perry of Orange dated 1911, on reverse advising re presentation of Coronation Medals to Australian Commonwealth Coronation Contingent of New South Wales Cadets; three others including one featuring three A.I.F. soldiers with names inscribed thereon. Original photo, 1941, 2nd A.I.F., members of 2nd and 9th Battalions aboard the wooden screw steamer, Kulgoa, the Sydney Harbour ferry used to transfer them from the dock to the transport ship, Malaya, moored in the Harbour, together with attached research information on the Kulgoa. Good very fine and scarce.
