Map of the World, c1850, cased pair in white metal (51mm), by J. Ottley, Birmingham, one has a highly detailed map of the world on both sides with named countries (including the Sandwich Isles), lines of longitude, and latitude, degrees, and poles in relief, the other has on one side "Miles Distant from London" with approximately 40 named and distances radiating around the central circle, reverse shows "Miles distant from London Bathing Places" and to the sides distances to Scottish and English universities.
