Scrimshaw, an interesting collection of teeth and horns including several featuring scrimshaw scenes of sailing ships in very fine style; one on a what appears to be a whale's tooth, with a fully rigged sailing ship called `Balclutha' signed J.F.C.; another fully rigged sailing ship `James Baines' which is unsigned; another with an Eskimo in a kayak labelled `Fridtjof Hansen 1895, 96 Deg L, 74 Deg N Artic Pole'; lot also include other teeth, whale, walrus etc., these are without any scrimshaw. Very fine, unusual and of uncertain age. (10)
