Printed by William Applegate Gullick, Sydney, 1898. Folded crosswise twice for posting, handwritten in ink 'On Public Service by ... / Mr John M.Palmer / Bagdad' and with two postmarks 'Broadmarsh Tas 10 May 1898' and 'Bagdad Tas 11 May 1898'. With some foxing on front cover, rust marks, holes on folds back and front and stained on back, otherwise good condition.
