Off centred on obverse, otherwise very fine/good fine and scarce.

Studies No.3, p.59, Pl.XIII, 3]). Full flan and ethnic, a few minor rust spots on the reverse, otherwise superb extremely fine with mint bloom, rare.

Parthia, Kingdom of, Phraates IV, (38-2 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.054 grams), Seleucia mint, obv. large size bare-headed bust to left with long beard, wearing diadem, wart on forehead, griffin end to torque around neck, rev. king enthroned to right receiving palm branch from Tyche holding cornucopiae, seven line inscription, (cf.S.7466, cf.Sellwood 51, cf.Shore 272). Good fine and rare, with a distinctive torque ending.
