Welcome Home and Thank You certificate, issued by The Camperdown Soldiers & Sailors' Welcome Home Association to James Scanlan, dated 26th Septr 1918 and signed by David Gilpin, President (former Mayor of Camperdown and later Mayor of Sydney) and the Hon Secretary, an illustrated and coloured certificate (24.5x30.5cm). Australia, WWII, bailed out RAAF pilot's false Dutch ID card arranged by Dutch underground as well as part of his silk parachute that has been stitched around the edge and then signed by numerous members of the Dutch underground and others and apart from the word Holland all other text appears to be in Dutch. Stains and some small holes in silk item and foxing on ID card, mostly on outside, otherwise very good - fine and rare. (2)

WWI, It's a long, long way to Tipperary souvenir silk scarf (47x47cm), printed with permission of B.Feldman & Co, London, the border with 3-leaf clovers and inside this are allied flags and in each corner is a Victoria Cross, in the centre are the words and music to the song with a troop of marching soldiers below. Some foxing marks, otherwise fine.

Research documents and photos, compiled over many years by military historian and antique dealer, the late Len Barton, a massive volume of documents, noted a very large amount relating to Australians in the Waikato War in New Zealand, also research on the area of Windsor in outer Sydney and its contribution to the military forces as well as numerous other military research papers and other research into non-military related items such as a large volume of typed papers relating to a commentary of Alexander Brodie Spark's surviving manuscript letter-books, diaries and other papers outlining the life and times of Spark who was born in Scotland in 1792 and died in Sydney in 1856 including his rise to riches and leadership in Sydney and his later downfall. In one very large 45 litre plastic container and one small box, fine - very fine. (lot)
