Unidentified knife, a short steel blade (length 11cm), with a long, thin, round wooden handle, this held to the blade by wrapped copper wire, fitted into a handmade bark sheath sewn at the side with leather stitching and with two pierced holes at the top for carrying. Toned, fine.

Argentina, large steel bladed Gaucho knife with blade marked, 'Franz Wenk/Solingen', no guard, patterned steel handle, with leather scabbard with steel at the top and bottom, the bottom patterned section inset with a silver 1882 Argentina peso and the top belt lug inset with a silver 1882 Argentina 20 centavos. The blade with oxidation marks and the coins well worn, very good.
