Various Boer War and other related items, includes Jeppe's map of the Transvaal; other maps; Army Veterinary School certificate issued to Capt C.W.Kellie in 1882 (the certificate torn and in parts); postcards and a studio portrait photo of Capt Kellie's mother in 1870; Indian note for seven rupees eight annas with English and Indian text written on the back relating to Capt Kellie; a menu that shows one of those present was Captain C. Kellie, Royal Artillery; research for C.A.Kellie. Stored in an old MacRobertson's chocolate tin, poor - fine. (lot)

Charles Wauchope Kellie was of Scottish lineage and served with the British Army in the Soudan, Afghanistan and Boer Wars. When he retired he came to Queensland and acted as senior captain of the Queensland Mounted Infantry. He is buried at Rookwood Cemetery in Sydney, NSW.
