Andronicus standing facing on left, Christ standing facing crowning the emperor around **ANDRONIKW* to left, **[DE*CPOTH], IC XC either side of Christ, (S.1984 [550 pounds], DOC 2b, H, Pl.18, 11-12, BMC 3-4; BN 1-4, Ratto 2167). Flan crack, otherwise about extremely fine, very rare.

Andronicus II and Michael IX to left and right with Christ standing between both emperors, most of the partial legend downwards of each emperor, (cf.S.2396, Bendall PCPC 128, type sigla 175, cf.DOC 244). Weak in places as usual, otherwise very fine and very scarce.
