Netherlands, Medal of the Amsterdam Commission, 1832, in bronze (51mm), by Van Der Keller, as awarded to Infantry and Artillery men involved in the defence of the Citadel of Antwerp under siege from French and Belgium troops, obverse, Greek warrior armed with broken sword and repelling a rain of arrows with his shield, behind toppled columns and in the background the ocean, in the exergue, ANTWERPEN/DECEMBER/MDCCCXXXII, reverse, wreath of oak leaves and in the centre inscribed to recipient, 'A. Lingr?'. Edge bumps, otherwise very fine.
