Chapman Collection; also an 1851 Victoria Bank Returns printed 4pp report as laid upon The Council Table by The Colonial Secretary, printed in Melbourne by John Ferres at the Government Printing Office, handwritten at top edge, 'First Victorian Official Document on Banking'; together with Bank of New South Wales, cheque book of 200 with 46 used, 186- to 1866, letters, receipts, cheques, second and third of Exchange notes, most relating to Bank of NSW, Kyneton branch, 1862-1928. The first item fine and rare, the second good very fine, remaining items good - very fine. (total 36 items)

WWII, letters of correspondence and love, between Naval Officer, Engineer Lieutenant Douglas Thomson Jenkins and his wife Frederika Jenkins, beginning December 1941 until his safe return in September 1946, indicating the ships he served on over this time, the 'Nile', 'Swan', 'Hobart' and 'Katoomba' and in the original envelopes with stamps of the time and censor stamped. A lovely insight into the life of a service man and his wife through WWII, housed in a small box and very fine. (58)

High Commissioner for Australia, Visitors Book, cover in padded blue leather with gold blocked details and Australian arms at top, inside are signatures of visitors to the embassy between April and September 1947 including a letter pasted on the cover page from Government House, Cape Town dated 24th April 1947 and addressed to Sir George Knowles, C.B.E., High Commissioner for Australia, Cape Town, that reads, 'My Dear Sir George, The King and Queen and the Princesses have been able to sign your Visitors' Book, and I now return it. Many thanks for your good wishes. With kind regards', and on the first signature page are the signatures of King George VI, Queen Elizabeth and the Princesses, Elizabeth (now the Queen) and Margaret. Very fine.
