Love token from a convict, sailor or marine in copper (45mm) entirely hand engraved, obverse sailing ship right reverse legend 'When this you see remember me tho many a league we / Distant be / T. Largent 1783', edge finely inscribed after being hammered 'If you love me as I love you nothing but Death shall part us two, June, yo 10 1783'. Most attractive and finely made, very fine and unique.

Aboriginal King plate or gorget in brass (circa 1840) (141x70mm) inscribed to 'Charley / King of Cumble' engraved with emu on left, kangaroo on right, the aboriginal king wearing his king plate and a pair of breeches, holding a boomerang and spear (cf similar style in Troy pp108/9 for Sawyer, King of Wickham-Hill in the Edmund O. Milne Collection). Very fine and very rare, especially depicting the recipient.
