Trench art, a pair of brass vases made from 40mm shell casings, both with curved handles at each side, the base of both stamped, '40MM. MI/L/Lot 50084 (crossed canons) 6 F. A. 1942'. Each handle has a piece of solder attached so possibly there was something affixed to each handle, otherwise very fine. (2)

Trench art, ashtray made from the base of a brass artillery shell, the base with 'F/Japanese character/6/crossed canons/circle with 3 dividers/Japanese character', upright in the centre is a large machine gun shell case with cartridge fitted; also a container made from the brass base of a shell casing marked '4.5 in Howr/II/OT3365' and other markings as well as 1917, with rolled over top edge and three circular lines around and with O S N Co (Orient Steam Navigation Co) on one side above the circular lines. Nearly very fine. (2)

Trench art, book ends made from aircraft starter engine shell casings (2), both marked on base, 'Cart Elec. Eng. Start MF 65/34 and 23 ME/65', with smaller shell casings fitted as handles, all items chromed, inside the large casings is three quarters filled with what appears to be concrete, on one side of each is inscribed, 'Phan Rang/67 - 68'. With some dents on edges of casings and oxidation on handle arms, otherwise fine. (2)

Trench art, machine gun shell casings and cartridges fitted to a lacquered timber board, at the sides are cut-away bullet casings used to fit a swinging mirror; also two small metal framed double-sided mirrors. The swinging mirror with a chip and the small mirrors with much toned spotting and the frames with oxidation, otherwise good - fine. (3)

WWI, trench art, artillery shell vases, features a pair of brass 75mm shell casings with headstamps for, ' D.C.P. Co' (Dominion Copper Products Co of Canada), each with a pair of fancy handles and at the front is a rampant lion on its hind legs and with a crown above, each casing is inscribed, 'Nieupont' (a French aeroplane company that built racing aircraft before WWI and then fighter aircraft during WWI). Very fine. (2)

Her Majesty's Troopship Queen Mary, 1941, brass nut (40x47x23mm), from a bolt on the Queen Mary, fitted with the reverse of an English 1938 penny on one side and the obverse of an Australian George V penny on the other side, around the top edge of the nut on the English coin side is impressed, 'H M T QUEEN MARY 1941'. Very fine.

Blade with some small edge nicks and heavily toned, scabbard with some dents, otherwise nearly fine.

RAFCYC (Royal Air Force Changi Yacht Club), beer tankard in pewter, marked on base, 'Malayan/C.K.T./Pewter', decorated with plain and patterned panels, in the central plain panel is inscribed, 'R.A.F.C.Y.C./2nd'; another beer tankard in pewter, with clear glass bottom, marked on outer base, 'Mui/Soon' on one side and on opposite side, 'Swa/Tow' (Swatow is local dialect for Shantou, a coastal city and Special Economic Zone in Guangdong Province in China), the body of the tankard is engraved with a large Chinese dragon and at the base is inscribed, 'R.A.F.C.Y.C. New Year 1949'. The last tankard with some dents, otherwise very fine. (2)
