Bactria, Kingdom of, Eukratides I, (171-135 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.36 g), obv. diademed and draped bust of Eukratides to right all within dotted border, rev. the Dioscouroi on horseback to right holding spears and palms, monogram of AW to right, below in exergue **EUKRATIDOU, above **BASILEWS, (S.7568, SNG ANS 433, Bopearachchi Series 1E). Broad surface pitting, good fine - nearly very fine and a rare variant.

Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, Ptolemy I Soter, as satrap, in the name and type of Alexander III of Macedon, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.16 g), Memphis or Alexandria Mint (Egypt), issued c. 322/1 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, rose to left, **DI* O under throne, to right **ALEXANDR[OU]*, (cf.S.6713, Price 3971, BMC 3971a-e, M.124, Demanhur hoard 4614ff., Zervos issue I, type 2C, SNG Cop 7, Gulbenkian 855). Lightly toned, test cut, good very fine with an attractive portrait and scarce in this condition.

Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy I Soter, as satrap, (323-305 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.71 g), Uncertain standard, Alexandria Mint, stuck in the name of Alexander III of Macedon, circa 311 B.C., obv. diademed head of Alexander right, wearing elephant's skin headdress, rev. Athena Alkidemos advancing to right, to right an eagle standing right on thunderbolt above **DI*, downwards to right **[ALE]XANDROU*, (cf.S.7752, Svoronos 34, Zervos Issue 68, cf.SNG Cop.14 [tetradrachm], Lorber CPE 42, BMC 15). Toned, Very fine and very rare.

(Davesne & Le Rider chronology based on Meydancikkale Hoard), (12.61 g), obv. head of Ptolemy to right with aegis, rev. eagle to left on thunderbolt with closed wings, to left A, around **[PTOLEMAIOU] BASILEWS*, (cf.S.7761, Sv.247, SNG Cop.-). Has been cleaned, traces of chloride deposits, very fine with a good portrait.
