(Carl Magnus Melgren), armoured bust of Gustav II Adolf left, reverse, Religion and Truth holding hands; USA, Chicago World's Fair Columbian Exhibition, 1893, in white metal (65mm), obverse, Columbus on ship's deck holding female's hand with radiant star above, reverse, eagle with stars and stripes shield holding banner in beak and arrows in claws atop a plaque with Latin inscription translated as, 'Exposition in Chicago in Memory of Illustrious Navigator Christopher Columbus', and with buildings below. The first with metal mounting remains at sides of reverse, the third affected by oxidation and with damage to reverse, otherwise fine. (3)
