Powder flask, c1800, Japanese tortoise shell flask with pull-out steel stopper with suspension loop and black steel pouring spout marked with faint Japanese characters, with suspension loops at each front side and attached to this is a silk cord connected to a small ivory plate and an ivory toggle for securing through belt. One small piece of shell missing at edge, otherwise very fine and very rare.
