Ethiopia, Coronation of Haile Selassie I, EE 1923 (1930), in bronze (40mm), with suspension loop added later, obverse, crowned bust of Haile Salassie facing left, legend around, reverse, Imperial monogram in trilobe, legend around which is a passage from the book of Psalms 68:32 'Ethiopia shall stretch forth her hands to god'; also a trial strike of a Middle Eastern (?) inscription, different on both sides, the struck section (approx 49x53mm) on a larger roughly circular slab of bronze (approx 84mm).
