Great Britain, Boydell's Shakespeare Medal 1803, silver proof-like medal, by C.H. Kuchler, 48mm, (38.6 grams), obv. Shakespeare seated on rock between figures of Drama and Painting, rev. 16 lines of legend, dated 1803, edge inscribed "John Barker Church Esqr" and "R. Clark Esqr" (Pollard 28 [p.297-299], Eimer 950, BHM 553, Fearon 254.3). Both in outer metal cases, small edge flaw at two o'clock, otherwise as struck with proof-like field, good extremely fine and rare. (2)
