Sicily, Gela, (c.490-480 B.C.), silver didrachm, (8.418 grams), obv. naked horseman to right wearing crested helmet, galloping right brandishing spear held high in his hand, rev. man headed bull to right with long beard, above **GELA*, (S.713, Jenkins Group I, No. 18, obv. 7, rev. 10 [same dies]). Large pitting area under forelegs of the horse together with minor scratches around that area of the obverse, otherwise good very fine.
