Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy XII, (80-51 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, second reign issue 55-51 B.C., issued year 29 = 53-52 B.C., (13.704 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. head of Ptolemy XII to right wearing aegis, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front L**L* over head-dress of Isis, around **PTOLEMAIOU BASILEWS*, (S.7948, Sv. 1839, SNG Cop 396, Pitchfork 121-3); another Ptolemy I, (323-285 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (12.654 grams), obv. Alexander the Great head right in elephant scalp, rev. Athena Alikidemos standing right, various symbols in field, (cf.S.7750, Sv.146, SNG Cop. 18). First coin very fine, second fair and holed. (2)
