Sicily, Syracuse, period of Timoleon, (344-336 B.C.), AE litra, (AE 28), (33.2 grams), obv. head of Athena wearing Corinthian helmet to left bound with olive wreath, to left of **[S*YRA], rev. starfish between two dolphins with central pellet, (S.1189, BMC 287, SNG ANS 454-469, Weber 1630); together with Hieron II, (275-215 B.C.), AE 26 (18.748 grams), obv. Hieron diademed head left, rev. horseman prancing to right, (S.1221); another Agathokles, (317-289 B.C.), AE 17, (4.274 grams), obv. Apollo head left, rev. Pegasus flying to left, (S.1199). Brown patina, very good - nearly fine. (3)
