Egypt, Kingdom of, Cleopatra VII, (51-30 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, issued year 16 = 37-36 B.C., (13.850 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. head of Ptolemy XII to right wearing aegis, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front LIS over head-dress of Isis, around **[PTOLEMAIOU BASILEWS]*, to right **PA*, (S.7951-3, Sv. 1830, SNG Cop 411, Pitchfork 157). Dark tone, small flan, otherwise very fine, scarce; the last Ptolemaic ruler of Egypt.
