Framed glazed vellum document with seals, 1811 'to all and singular' the granting of the amorial arms to said family of Lane of Arundal, as decendants of a Sir Richard Lane of the court of King Charles I, authorising the use of those arms for the family and for the future heirs. The document describes the arms and includes a coloured example of the arms with two seals attached and signed by Sir Isaac Heard (Principal King of Arms) and George Harrison Clarenceux (King of Arms of the South East). Fine, rare and an interesting court document.
