Australian cheques and business papers, a group of modern Australian cheques, a wide selection mostly 1960's and 1970's (30) plus a selection of traveller's cheques from Barclays Bank Limited for two, ten, twenty and fifty pounds sterling of the old style cheques issued up to mid 1960's and two, five, ten and twenty pounds of the new style issued from the mid 1960's (8). Together with a group of business papers including many relating to banking, insurance, department stores and motor vehicles, some with duty stamps and some relating to New Zealand (134). Employee's Hospital Fund, small group of letters, circular letters, contribution cards and application forms relating to the fund, circa 1948-1963 (14). Very good-extremely fine. (186)

Beautiful ornate multicoloured certificate (32 x 40.5cm) including vignettes of the old Gothic Bank and the Bank's new multi storied headquarters within an ornate border. The document is signed by Hamilton Hume twice and Elizabeth Hume once. Fine and a rare document of Australiana for such a significant explorer.
