Royal Shipwreck Relief & Humane Society of N.S.W., illustrated and coloured award certificate under perspex and matt framed in gilt timber (approx 53x43cm), for the award to Robert Ashworth of the Society's Silver Medal for his conspicuous bravery in swimming through the breakers on the Ocean Beach, Pambula, N.S.W., and saving the life of a young man named Thomas McDonald, who had been carried out whilst bathing on February 28th 1909. Some colour fading and spotting due to ageing, also a few small edge tears but glued down when framing, otherwise very fine.
