Papua New Guinea, Western Highlands, 20th century, ceremonial stone axe, with grey, flat cut stone blade, knee-shaft hafting, and carefully executed, decorative wickerwork made of yellow and black rattan strips, (68cm x 61cm). Very fine and rare.
