In Monnaie de Paris case of issue, some damage to case, medal with spot near nose, reverse with small edge nick and light spotting, otherwise extremely fine.

France, Henry IV, modern cast copy of the bronze medal (100mm, 470g) by G.Dupre, celebrating the birth of the dauphin in 1603, obverse, conjoined busts of Henry IV and Marie de Medicis, HENRIC IIII R CHRIS MARIA AVGVSTA around, reverse, Henry as Mars and Maria as Minerva standing, between them their son the dauphin, an eagle holding a crown above, PROPAGO IMPERII around, G.Dupre.E in exergue (see Forrer Vol I, p656), edge stamped 'Bronze' with hallmark cornucopia. With cabinet friction, otherwise extremely fine.
