Original watercolour, signed by Gerard W.Willott, (170x215mm with border 50-60mm around), painting features a ship, looks like the survey ship H.M.A.S.Moresby, with map of New Guinea behind and naval officer's hat and survey maps, books and instruments in front and at the side a hanging picture of a sailing ship and the year 1945, and on the border below is written, 'To Lieut.Commander Gould with the compliments of the Cartographic Staff.' Framed under glass ready to hang, extremely fine.

Ethiopia, Coptic 19th century wooden reliquary (179x108mm), inside of base painted with an image of the Virgin Mary, seated, holding baby Jesus and with two angels carrying swords standing behind, the underside of the lid is painted with a scene of St George slaying a dragon, the base is carved from a solid piece of timber that includes a large decorative piece at the top with attached string for appending, at the bottom of the base is a small integrated handle with a carving of Mary, two sides of the base and the lid are carved with a geometric pattern, the lid attached by string threaded through purpose made holes. Extremely fine.
