China, Ancient Chinese Coins (cash money) discovered at the Palmer River Goldfields North Queensland Australia described in a clip-lock bound volume with a gilt and green vinyl cover, and described as the Courtenay Collection, all coins annotated with expansive text by Keith and Bibiana Courtenay, Brisbane, in 1987. The collection contains 124 coins from the Tang Dynasty to the Q'ing (Ching) Dynasty all described with Schjoth references. Mostly fine. (124)

China, Qing (Ch'ing) Dynasty (1644-1911), Qixiang ruler (Ch'i-hsiang), struck in August - November 1861, (Qi Xiang Tong bao), cast bronze cash (maybe as a mother coin) Gongchang Gansu mint 33mm, with additional engravings on broad rim obverse and reverse, (Hartill - cf.22.1136 for reverse, TFP -, ch.-, KM.C14-8 for reverse type). Very fine and very rare.

China, a large collection of cash with much duplication mostly from the Q'ing (Ch'ing) Dynasty, includes a few round copper machine made cash or cents from the late Empire and early Republic, including a 100 cash of Honan Province (KM.Y.395), many identified in packets, noted a silver dollar of Yuan Shih Kai year 3 (1914); a few of Korea and some 5 and 10 cash pieces of Wen Zong (1851-1861), also noted a very few issues of the Northern Sung Dynasty. The collection is strong on issues of Sheng Zu (Kang Xi) (1662-1722) and Gao Zong (Chien Lung) (1736-1795), but has good representation of issues from Xhi Zu (1644-1661) to Mu Zong (1862-1874). The collection concludes with a group (approx 20) of Taiwan (Formosa), North China and modern China. Mostly fine - very fine some better. (approx 600)
