WWI Egypt Souvenir, large silk tapestry (approx 590mm square) featuring central image of sphinx, pyramid and local man on donkey, this framed by curtains pulled back and ensigned by a crown with crescent and star atop, around this design are the flags of the allies and below is Arabic script. In a timber frame decorated with a gum leaf and wattle design, a few loose threads, some split areas and some light staining mostly at edges, fine and scarce.
