Bill of Exchange, G.Blaxcell, handwritten, Sydney, July 13th 1812, two hundred and fifty pounds, payable to Captain Joseph James, on or before 24th September 1812. Accompanied by a printed form of a notice of protest printed by George Howe, Sydney, 1813, signed by Ellis Bent, Judge Advocate of the Territory of New South Wales, showing that Blaxcell had not paid by 16th August 1813. Stained on right and left hand side, good fine and extremely rare. (2)

An extremely rare example of this early bank, as no banknotes are known to have survived. Two folds, extremely fine and extremely rare.
