Van Diemen's Land, bill on the English Treasury, Commissariat Office, Hobart Town, 20 August 1823 (182 printed), No.145, to Capt. James Dixon, for £150.0.0, hand signed by Lt. Governor William Sorell and A. Moodie, black on white, unwatermarked paper, for presentation to Whitehall, London, engraved by Samuel Clayton (MVR illustrates a similar example Fig.12 [p.11-12]). Extremely fine, and very rare, probably the only example in private hands.
