Kushan, Huvishka, (c.A.D. 158-195), gold stater (dinar), (7.728 grams), obv. three-quarter length bust of king, holding small ankus and sceptre, legend around, rev. radiate sun god Mithra standing left wearing sword and diaphanous cloak, small garland behind right shoulder, hand extended left, tamgha below, MIOPO to right (cf.G”bl 292/1 [same dies], cf.M.3201 [quarter stater], Gobl 266 [same dies]). Very fine, rare and an interesting type.

Satavahana symbol and hill, sun and moon above, water symbol below, legend around, (M.4966 [£250], Mitchiner South India part 1, Nos. 156-162 [p.98]). Off centre obverse, good silver, very fine and very rare.

Zangids of Mosul, Sayf al-Din Ghazi II, (A.H. 564-576) (A.D. 1169-1180), copper dirham, pictorial type, dated 567 (1171-2), (9.474 grams), obv. bust facing quarter l., winged Nikes above flying, date around, rev. Sayf legend, year A.H. 566 = A.D. 1170, (A.1861.1, M.-, S/S 60.3, Edham 121). Good patina, very fine and scarce.

(11.942 grams), obv. large diademed Roman head to l., facing crowned Byzantine bust facing, rev. four line legend in transitional Kufic, (A.1829.2, S/S Type 34, Edhem 50). Nearly extremely fine.

Artuqids of Mardin, Nasir al-din Artuq Arslan (A.H. 597-637) (A.D. 1201-1239), copper dirhem, (6.310 grams), Mardin mint, not dated, obv. Turkish style figure seated in low throne, holding globe (Jupiter), rev. five line legend, (A.1830.11, S/S 48, cf. Edhem 101). Good very fine, touch of green, overstruck twice on S/S 47 and S/S 46.
